Dear Anders ,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in the Nordic region.

Whilst not all of the programmes which you see on our channels are commercially accessible, you may like to check CD or DVD availability with the BBC Shop – www.bbcshop.com (who deliver to Sweden) – or an alternative online or local retailer. I would like to know why the nordic BBC entertainment doesnt show the 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who? There's a lot of whovians in Sweden and we would all like to be able to watch the episode together with the rest of the whovians.

Where are the Finnish subtitles of the episode "Invertebrates"? I waited that there would be subtitles on the rerun, but there were none.

The fact that BBC Entertainment (Norway)has started this continuous bombardment of adverts in between, after, and before programs is absolutely appalling. They should be disgusted with themselves, and if they had a shred of self respect and dignity they should cease this loathsome, revolting, and offensive campaign immediately. I was always under the impression that the BBC prided themselves on NOT showing adverts on their channels. The fact that the channel has for the past two and a half years shown absolutely nothing more that the continuous repetition of tedious and mind numbing programs such as TOP GEAR is a severe insult to one's intelligence. I'm a big admirer of Stephen Fry, though seeing him on QI every hour of the day is rather overwhelming. There was a time when BBC Entertainment aired good quality programs with a little variety such as Porridge, Open All Hours, Only Fools And Horses etc etc...Though this is a minor irritation in comparison to these incredibly annoying, and unnecessary ADVERTS that interrupt the televisual pleasure that the BBC usually have provided.Hope this will be rectified ASAP....with regards Steve living in Norway.

BBC

Dear Steve,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in the Nordic region.

We note that we previously responded to you in March about this matter and we appreciate that you continue to feel strongly about the introduction of advertising in Norway. We would seek to reassure you that this was a decision that we carefully considered and we can assure you it will not compromise the integrity and quality of the programmes you are used to and enjoy watching.

You mention in your message the inclusion of repeats such as QI and Top Gear on BBC Entertainment and in common with most cable and satellite channels, repeats are a feature of most schedules. This is welcomed by those viewers who don't watch the same channel every day and, due to the multi-channel environment, often miss complete series. We do hope you are enjoying new episodes of Alan Carr: Chatty Man series 11, Best In Town, Whitechapel series 3, Fresh Meat series 2, My Family series 7 and QI series 10 currently on BBC Entertainment.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us with your feedback.

who provided the clothes jenni falconer is wearing in fantasy homes by the sea?

BBC

Dear Lulu,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in the Nordic region.

We can’t advise on the origin of individual items that appear in our programmes or the clothes worn by presenters. Most clothing, costumes and props are bought from regular high street stores, made especially for the programme, or hired from the BBC costume and prop stores.
