I see both from this website and on-air trailers that you intend to show a documentary on the next British Royal generation, ”Born to Rule”. Since you often cite lack of funds for your programming choices, perhaps it would be in its place to explain to the viewers how you can justify what will clearly be a considerable expenditure on a subject which has and certainly will continue to have more than ample coverage in other television media (including BBC World, American CNN, Danmark’s Radio and Danish TV2, Sverige’s Radio, Norsk Rikskringkasting, etc., etc., etc. It also seems that you intend to show this documentary on BBC Entertainment although the subject is more appropriate to BBC Knowledge.
Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in the Nordic region.
We note your feedback regarding the inclusion of Born to Royalty on BBC Entertainment recently. This programme is in celebration of the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Royal baby boy examining what it means to be a child of the British Royal Family. The documentary features personal tales, rarely seen archive footage and the first glimpse of the baby and we felt it was a programme that would be enjoyed by very many of our viewers in the Nordic region.
We have noted your feedback about this programme and we will share it with the team who acquire programmes for our channels as well as our scheduling team. It would perhaps be a near impossible task to feature programmes on our channels that would meet with the universal approval of all of our viewers all of the time and we do hope there are other programmes more to the taste on BBC Entertainment.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us. We very much value feedback from our viewers and we are grateful to you for getting in touch.
