Sean Lock
Quite interesting trivia...
Before hitting the showbiz big-time with his unique brand of absurd observational humour, Sean earned his crust as a labourer on building sites. The construction world's loss was a big funny gain for comedy, that's for sure – he rocks!
Phill Jupitus
Quite interesting trivia...
In his formative years, Phill performed self-penned political poetry as a warm-up act to such music greats as Billy Bragg and Paul ‘Modfather’ Weller’s The Style Council. He also did a stint as press officer for the band The Housemartins, and appeared in the video for their 1986 hit Happy Hour (and again, and again… you know the one).
Rory Bremner
Quite interesting trivia...
Rory speaks French, German and Spanish fluently, and has used his linguistic talents to translate three operas into his native tongue (Weill's Der Silbersee, Bizet's Carmen and Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld). He is also trying to perfect Russian in order to expand his appreciation of Soviet poetry. Bottom line: Bremner is VERY clever!
Jeremy Clarkson
Quite interesting trivia...
Measuring in at a very high 6' 5", Mr Top Gear is reported to be the tallest person working in British broadcasting today. And despite being no oil painting, he also has chart-topping sex appeal – in 2008, he beat Barack Obama to the top of Heat magazine’s infamous ‘Weird Crush’ poll.
Liza Tarbuck
Quite interesting trivia...
In 2001, Liza called upon the supersonic wisdom of Mr QI to bag her some winnings. Appearing on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, she selected Fry as her ‘phone a friend’, and used the lifeline when she became a bit foxed by a question. Stephen, of course, provided the correct answer before the options were even listed.
Clive Anderson
Quite interesting trivia...
As host of his self-titled chat show in the Nineties, Clive's most colourful moment was having the Bee Gees storm off set mid interview. After jovially stating he didn't remember one of the guy's solo hits, he was branded a 'tosser' as the band made their infuriated exit. Poor Clive.
Jimmy Carr
Quite interesting trivia...
As a former devout Catholic, Jimmy followed the religion’s ‘no sex before marriage’ rule to the letter in his youth, and didn’t loose his virginity until he was 26 years old. He wasn’t (and still isn’t) married – he just changed his views on nookie.
Jo Brand
Quite interesting trivia...
Jo's trademark rude humour has been known to land her in hot water. On one occasion, the BBC was forced to issue an apology after she offered to “fart the Albanian national anthem” during a live TV broadcast and garnered complaints from offended Albanian viewers.
Rich Hall
Quite interesting trivia...
The Simpsons creator Matt Groening revealed he took inspiration from Hall's trademark sour expression and grouchy demeanour to create the grumpy character of Springfield's barman Moe Szyslak. Beyond cool!
