About the show

Music and mayhem

The iconic show returns in which TV presenter Chris Evans presides over a mix of guest interviews, music and mayhem.

Expect musical performances from stars such as U2, Take That, Justin Bieber, Eagles of Death Metal, Coldplay and many more.

Also featured are top-line Hollywood stars including Julianne Moore, Stanley Tucci, Quentin Tarantino, Kurt Russell, and other famous names like Jon Ronson, Jack Whitehall and even the inimitable Alan Partridge.

And the show just wouldn't be complete without motorbikes busting through doors, skateboarding dogs, desk painting and human sled bowling.

TFI Friday, Chris Evans

Chris Evans

Chris Evans' early career began in Manchester where he assisted and produced material at Piccadilly Radio before moving to London to join the BBC, initially as a producer and later as presenter on BBC London radio station, GLR.

The early 1990s saw Chris take on a Sunday afternoon slot on BBC Radio 1, for which he became very popular, but he soon put his radio career on pause whilst he focused on his Channel 4 television show, The Big Breakfast. After two years, Chris left The Big Breakfast to set up his own television production company, Ginger Productions.

Chris returned to the booth to host the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show in 1995, which allowed him to continue his television career all the while. He went on to host and produce TFI Friday through Ginger Productions, which became popular for the mix of guest interviews, music and mayhem.

In his next big venture, Chris is the new host of Top Gear with fellow car nut and Friends actor, Matt LeBlanc by his side.
