We all occasionally dream of giving up the day job and moving away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. But some people take their desire to get away from it all to the extremes. In this returning series, Ben Fogle lives with different people who inhabit some of the most remote locations in the world.
This series sees Ben join British dump-truck driver, Ian, who sold ‘his life’ on eBay and bought his own primitive Caribbean island off the coast of Panama.
Colbert quit high finance and moved to the Southern Georgian swamplands. Access to his self-built cabin is via canoe. He survives by living off the creatures that inhabit this dangerous back-water.
‘Jungle Neil’ traded in his life as a cab driver in Florida to become a coconut farmer in the Philippines. Daily life might be tough, but the evenings are spent singing and playing the guitar.
Other ‘wild’ men include Steve, a 69 year old ex-fighter pilot who has set up home in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India.
Ben wants to discover the realities of leaving it all behind – is it daring, or downright crazy?
Be curious. Be inspired. Be amazed.
